During her Fine Art degree Sharon explored working with different mediums and ideas while still holding the theme of illusion throughout her practice. For her first year she toyed with the ideas of time and surface through wall paintings, creating the illusion of holes in the walls and the effect of time. This causing the paintings to eventually fade away. In her second year of her practice, she then began to translate the visual effects of drugs such as LSD, this inspired by A$AP Rocky and his music video L$D. The illusionistic visuals caused by the warped shapes from the marbleised paint, causing her audience to have symptoms of pareidolia, making them find images and pictures from the paintings to make sense of the work. She then continued causing the effect of pareidolia through her work in her third year of her practice, where she revisited wall drawings with the use of vinyl. The vinyls representing the idea of free will being an illusion as the line work for each piece is a route which has been recorded via a route tracker from Sharon's day to day life. This eventually showing that each line and day is similar.
